Peter Grontas, Founder and CEO

Peter Grontas began his career in the creative decor industry at a very young age when he apprenticed at a window display company. Peter loved the art of seeing a project from a creative spark to its inception. He excelled at creating unique vignettes with fabrics, flooring, furniture and fashion. After some time in the window display business, Peter joined his family’s flower shop at Hanover Square in Lower Manhattan. Peter quickly fell in love with the floral design business and was intoxicated by the excitement of each new challenge to create the perfect masterpiece for a wedding, hotel lobby or corporate space. It was this passion for flowers and their limitless possibilities that drove Peter to create Flowers of the World in 1994.

Flowers of the World’s luxe contemporary design studio is conveniently located in Midtown West and produces breathtaking arrangements for any scale event or corporate function. Peter’s personal design touch and the Flowers of the World Signature are on every product that leaves the design studios, whether large or small.

Peter has over 40 years of experience in the floral business and his design sense is instinctual and comes from his heart. Peter also owns Floralia Events, the in-house floral design company at the Waldorf Astoria. His floral design expertise has been featured on television appearances such LX New York, Fox and Friends, The Insider and Access Hollywood.

Peter is proud to contribute to many charities and fundraisers including the Ronald McDonald House of New York City and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
