A Beautiful Mother’s Day 2011

We had such a wonderful Saturday afternoon sharing the Peninsula’s classic tea and a Mother’s Day Flower Workshop with 26 very excited Moms, Daughters, Grandmothers, Godmothers, Nieces, and Aunts. Before the workshop, guests enjoyed a delicious array of treats including an amazing cake generously donated by our absolute favorite- Ron-Ben Israel Cakes.

Our very talented budding “floral designers” learned the tricks of our trade from Sara and our design team to create their own Mother’s Day masterpieces.  Check out a few of the photos we snapped during the lovely afternoon!

Rooftop Romance

Nothing beats the chills of winter more than thoughts of an outdoor affair in warm weather! Flowers of the World recently staged a wedding photoshoot on the rooftop of the legendary Peninsula Hotel New York, enticing brides to tie the knot with the city skyline as a backdrop. Dreaming of Summer

There’s a chill in the air in New York City this morning, so Flowers of the World thought we’d warm you up with some sunny photos of one of our favorite summer weddings.
Beautiful bride Anna tied the knot with her handsome groom John this past June, and celebrated with a gorgeous affair on the rooftop of the Peninsula Hotel New York at the Salon de Ning. Flowers of the World created a wonderland of whites, from the mix of roses, ranunculus and peonies in the bride’s bouquet to delicate phalaenopsis orchids dangling over guests heads. Check out some of the designs below, captured by the talented lens of Hechler Photographers.

Design for a Cause

At Flowers of the World, we love to make life more beautiful in every possible way, and this weekend’s Think Pink Flower Workshop, staged in partnership with the fabulous Peninsula Hotel New York, was the perfect example. Not only did each student create their own gorgeous pink-hued arrangement in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, but FOTW and the Peninsula donated a portion of the class’s registration fee to the American Cancer Society. Thanks to all of our lovely attendees — we’ll paint the town pink with you anytime!

Pretty in Pink

The world is pretty in pink this month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, and Flowers of the World is so excited to do our part in helping this special cause.

Join us on Saturday, October 23 for our “Think Pink” Flower Workshop at the Peninsula Hotel New York, from 2-4:30pm, where guests will create a beautiful, lush arrangement using vibrant seasonal flowers with a pink theme to commemorate breast cancer awareness. The $150 registration fee also includes with The Peninsula’s legendary Afternoon Tea, complete with a glass of Champagne, and a donation to the American Cancer Society.
