Last week Flowers of the World was proud to join forces for a great cause, with the Children’s Cancer Blood Foundation, for their annual “Breakthrough Ball” benefit gala. For the event, which took place at The Plaza, FOTW created a gorgeous seasonal setup of antique hydrangea, bright Protea, burnt orange Roses and Orchids, and mango Calla Lilies, mixed with swirling Lily grass and glowing raspberry votive candles. The display lit up the room for an unforgettable evening!
Glowing mom-to-be, Beyonce, was at Macy’s Herald Square earlier this week promoting her newest fragrance, Pulse. Flowers of the World got to be a part of that special appearance as we designed a gorgeous cascading white Phalaenopsis Orchid arrangement that matched Beyonce’s feathered flowing gown from Lanvin’s Resort 2012 gown perfectly!

This week’s forecast in New York called for gloomy weather but we have turned that idea on its head and filled our windows with bright pink drops! One of our favorite flowers, Cymbidium Orchids, are shown in a lush pink hue in suspended teardrop-shaped vases. Larger teardrop shapes float in the air. We may be wearing our rose-colored glasses but the whimsical and feminine shapes instantly brighten up our cloudy day!
Take flight with Flowers of the World! This week’s window is inspired by sleek white paper airplanes floating through the blue sky and white clouds made of gorgeous Phalaenopsis Orchids. The architectural lines of the airplanes are set off by the graceful and organic shapes of the beautiful orchids, one of our favorite flowers at FOTW.
This week’s window is inspired by the beauty and elegant simplicity of a black baby grand piano. A slim black silhouette of a piano hangs high above thin rectangular black and white vases, which symbolize the piano keys, connected by matching plexi tubes and adorned with beautiful white Cymbidium Orchids. The plexi tubes represent the intricate lines of sheet music while the orchids are the notes that dance along the keys creating beautiful music.
