Flowers of the World was proud to design the floral decor for the Young Professionals Committee of Susan G. Komen’s third annual “Painting Wall Street Pink” cocktail reception at Cipriani Wall Street on Thursday evening. Our designers used elegant pink hued flowers, such as hydrangea, tulips and roses accented by striped Hawaiian Flag Leaves.  Chocolate linens warmed up the space which was bathed in soft pink candlelight. FOTW is always excited to be a part of events for very special causes, such as Susan G. Komen For the Cure.

Cipriani Cool

The Financial District is home to some of the city’s finest landmarks…and not just the downtown location of Flowers of the World! Cipriani Wall Street, located just a few blocks from our 110 Maiden Lane store, is one of the most majestic buildings in Manhattan, and we’re lucky to call ourselves one of the preferred floral designers at this historic space.

Formerly home to the New York Merchants Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the United States Customs House, and the headquarters of the National City Bank, Cipriani’s grand columns, and Greek revival architecture, lend itself well to an opulent affair. Lauren Romao, FOTW’s Events Director, recently staged a photo shoot for an upcoming magazine spread, and the results, pictured below, are the perfect fit for this elegant space. Lauren’s design concept started with a custom-made square table, draped with apple-green satin and olive pin-tuck linen. Luxurious mirrored vases and blocks were topped with lush green Gert cymbidium orchids and Emerald hydrangea, and then complemented by romantic floating candles in votives.

If life is a cabaret, then Flowers of the World is one of the stars, or at least it was earlier this month at the National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction‘s Annual Gala. With the theme “Cabaret for Medicine” in mind, Flowers of the World created an exotic nightclub at Cipriani 42nd Street, which included eggplant calla lilies and blue Mokara orchids wound into opulent glass vases. Red flax leaves and black dogwood branches complemented the table arrangements, while scarlet colored candles created an exquisite glow throughout the room.
