Down on one knee…

FOTW was so excited to be a part of a very special marriage proposal at Bloomingdales, The Registry, at 59th Street this past week. The handsome groom-to-be Joseph proposed to his beautiful bride-to-be Norma at Bloomies, through an extensive scavenger hunt that led her through different departments of the store for clues, such as Chanel, Tumi and Magnolia Bakery. The final clue led her to the registry where Joseph was waiting on bended knee to ask for her hand in marriage and received a resounding YES! A gorgeous hand-tied bouquet of lush pink roses and calla lilies from FOTW completed the perfect romantic mood.

We wish the happy couple all the joy in the world! Congratulations from all of us at FOTW! So glad we were a part of your special day!

Crystal Dreams

Last weekend, Flowers of the World partnered with the legendary crystal company Lalique for a stunning showcase at the Registry at Bloomingdale’s.

In our vision of design, the vessel is often as important as the blooms themselves, and there’s no better match for our luxurious brand than Lalique, whose exquisite craftsmanship continues to be coveted 150 years after Rene Lalique founded his company. Rather than compete with Lalique’s opulence, FOTW’s designers chose simple and elegant floral designs that complement the crystal containers. Check out some photos below.

Beautiful at Bloomingdales

Flowers of the World’s partnership with The Registry at Bloomingdale’s has enabled us to decorate many exciting events at Manhattan’s famous department store. This week, we were thrilled to donate fabulous floral decor for an intimate dinner at the retailer’s flagship 59th Street shop, benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Guests feasted on gourmet dishes from Le Train Bleu restaurant, atop tables dressed in Bloomingdale’s signature black and white palette: luxurious snow-white phalaenopsis orchids overflowed from glass disc-shaped vases, contrasted by a modern, pintuck linen in a silky black hue.
