With so many creative designers at Flowers of the World, we’re excited to return to our regular pattern of weekly window changes, after featuring our Valentine’s Day arrangements since mid-January. This week’s window design is a reflection of spring, as our talented designers emulated scenes of rain with our beautiful blooms. At our uptown store, our lead designer Lori suspended gorgeous Limones cymbidium orchids throughout the window, raining over an umbrella of giant Philodendron, or “elephant ear” leaves. Orchids, a.k.a. raindrops, also rested on a bed of Hala leaves, lining the bottom of the window.

Our downtown designer, Hazel, positioned raindrops gracefully falling from fluffy clouds over water puddles that mirrored the city street outside our shop. To do so, she clustered several dried Cecropia leaves at the top of the window, under which she carefully hung tangerine-colored Balou cymbidium orchids in glass balls, using fishing wire. At the base of the window, shallow pools of water reflect Hazel’s delicate orchid raindrops.
